Working & Walking Together

Please click the link below to view images of our summer education program. Students from various summer camps had the opportunity to visit the Germantown Mennonite Meeting House and the Johnson HouseHistoric Site.  At the Johnson House, students had the opportunity to participate in creating and building a monument to freedom-seeking African Americans. Students made “concrete footprints” that represented the steps walked in the long harsh journeys taken by freedom seekers as they approached the Johnson House while traveling on the Underground Railroad.
